AUTISM
What a huge topic, and one that I cannot adequately cover in this space, so I will give you a quick overview and then point you toward some more complete resources.
Do you know anyone with autism? If you don't now, you will. The rates of autism are skyrocketing...somewhere between 200-5000% in most states over the past 25 years. It is truly an epidemic that doesn't get a lot of press. Why? Because there are people earning billions of dollars a year off of the cause: vaccinations. Those same people spend millions of dollars every year getting over 300 new vaccines (per year) approved for use in this country (and sometimes mandated by congress).
The pharmaceutical industry also spends millions to spread the false belief that people who KNOW their children are autistic because of vaccines are "whackos" or "conspiracy theorists." This is why they also lobbied Congress to be absolved of any responsibility for vaccine injury. This was granted to them in the Patriot Act (yes, it's not just for foreign terrorists!) - snuck in at the last minute by an unnamed Congressperson (but with the same language drafted in an earlier bill by Bill Frist). It's a dirty business, but someone has to do it.
Before you vaccinate your child, PLEASE do your homework. Don't take anyone's word for what is best for your child. Your child deserves to have informed parents advocating for their health. Here are some places to start your search:
