We have a special family in the Middle GA area that could use our collective support: Cheryl and Phil Anderson, along with their five wonderful children.

The Anderson Family - Shaome Cooperative

Six years ago, Phil was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s Disease and has been in an assisted living facility for the past two years. This has left Cheryl to manage their homestead and care for their children, each of whom has varying degrees of special needs.

The rising costs of food and other essentials have made it increasingly difficult for Cheryl to provide for her family. To help secure their future, Cheryl hopes to start growing their own food. This is where we, as a community, can make a significant impact.

Core Value - Shaome Coperative

Shaome Cooperative is raising funds to help the Anderson family establish a sustainable food source. Our goal is to provide them with:

  • Raised beds (materials and construction)
  • Fruit and nut trees mature enough to produce food as quickly as possible
  • Seeds, seedlings, and mature edible plants
  • Compost, mulch, and other necessary supplies
  • Property preparation and establishment of the garden in their raised beds and the beginnings of a food forest

Your donation can help us create a nurturing environment for the Anderson family, ensuring they have fresh, homegrown food and the knowledge to maintain it for years to come.

Please consider contributing to this heartfelt cause. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of Cheryl, Phil, and their children.

To donate, please visit our Donation Page or send a Venmo or PayPal donation to @ShaomeCoop.

Thank you for your generosity and support. We will keep you updated about this project as it progresses!
