Do you grow enough food to sustain your family without a grocery store? No? Then YOU are food insecure!

What would happen if trucks couldn’t get food to the store? How many weeks (or days) would you have enough food to eat?

At Shaome (pronounced “show me”) Cooperative, our ‘why’ is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves the ability to grow their own food.

We are committed to making Georgia the first food-secure state by literally putting seeds in the ground and providing the education and support needed to nurture those seeds into abundant harvests now and for generations to come.

We teach people how to grow their own food, not just give them food, fostering self-sufficiency and community resilience. 

By empowering individuals to cultivate their own sustenance, we build a stronger, more sustainable future for all Georgians. We invite you to join us!

How Does Shaome Cooperative Help Create Food Security?

Shaome Cooperative is a community of people who want to give, teach, and equip others to grow healthy food. Our BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) is to make Georgia the FIRST Food-Secure State!

Shaome Cooperative has 3 programs:

  1. GROW (Growing with Real Organic Wisdom) – An elementary school curriculum and growing experience with raised beds and a Food Forest. Multi-year participants can also learn about food distribution.
  2. Garden-to-Table Initiative with Turnkey Garden Solutions LLC – Provides turnkey kitchen gardens in underserved neighborhoods and provides hands-on growing coaching from a Master Gardener.
  3. GROW-TV – 24/7 online education via our YouTube Channels.
